In The Community
Business best practice goes further than simply focusing on solving business issues. We believe it’s also important to recognise issues within, and contribute to the community as a whole. This is not just a box to tick – this is central to our ethos, which focuses on achieving outcomes and realising benefits. One of our strategic goals is to make a difference, whether it be in our business or community lives.

P2E are proud to sponsor Friends with Dignity. Founding Director Todd Hunt is a White Ribbon Ambassador and stout advocate for a world free from Domestic and Family Violence.
Families need to be a safe place. A family bond should be sacred. As a husbands, fathers, uncles and grandfather it terrifies us that one in three women, one in five men and one in five children will experience domestic and family violence.
The work Friends With Dignity does provides such critical support for survivors taking their next steps in a life free from abuse. As business owners and community leaders we all need to Step Up, Speak Out and Support changing the attitudes in our community so that violence and abuse is no longer tolerated or accepted.
Navy, Army and Air Force Reservists make a commitment to train and serve in the defence and protection of Australia. Reservists have played an important part in Australian history since early colonial days. Today we are increasingly drawing on the skills and expertise of Reservists to maintain the ADF’s capability. Reservists regularly play a supporting security role in major Australian events. They have also provided humanitarian relief to communities in Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa and Somalia. They served alongside their full-time counterparts to increase security and stability in Bougainville and have also been deployed on operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Solomon Islands, and most recently in East Timor.
Reservists make a valuable contribution to the community, providing assistance in times of natural disasters such as floods, tropical cyclones and fires and in emergency rescue operations. For example, Reservists helped rebuild lives and communities following the tragic bushfires in Victoria in 2009 and the floods in Queensland in 2011. Reservists gain capability and experience through formal Defence courses, on-going refresher training and day-to-day experience as they put their skills into practice and advance in responsibilities, rank and leadership ability.
P2E is a proud sponsor of the Ipswich Knights Football Club. Why, you ask? Well we don’t think we could say it any better than the person responsible for the following quote:
“One of my friends asked ‘Why do you pay so much money for your kid to play sports?’ Well I have a confession to make; I don’t pay for my kids to play sports. Personally, I couldn’t care less about what sport they do.
So, if I am not paying for sports what am I paying for?
– I pay for those moments when my kids become so tired they want to quit but don’t.
– I pay for those days when my kids come home from school and are “too tired” to go to their training but they go anyway.
– I pay for my kids to learn to be disciplined, focused and dedicated.
– I pay for my kids to learn to take care of their body and equipment.
– I pay for my kids to learn to work with others and to be good team mates, gracious in defeat and humble in success.
– I pay for my kids to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don’t get that placing or title they’d hoped for, but still they go back week after week giving it their best shot.
– I pay for my kids to learn to make and accomplish goals.
– I pay for my kids to respect, not only themselves, but other athletes, officials and coaches.
– I pay for my kids to learn that it takes hours and hours, years and years of hard work and practice to create a champion and that success does not happen overnight.
– I pay for my kids to be proud of small achievements, and to work towards long term goals.
– I pay for the opportunity my kids have and will have to make life-long friendships, create lifelong memories, to be as proud of their achievements as I am.
– I pay so that my kids can be out on the field or in the gym instead of in front of a screen…
…I could go on but, to be short, I don’t pay for sports; I pay for the opportunities that sports provides my kids with, to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far I think it is a great investment!”
