2019 AIPM Awards – QLD Change Management Project of the Year

P2E would like to congratulate the Queensland Police Service (QPS) in winning the 2019 QLD Change Project of the Year.

The QPS formed a bespoke project group to meet the Queensland Government’s Commonwealth Games 2018 Bid guarantee of providing a safe and secure Games environment. Recognised as the third-largest global sporting event, the Games represented the most complex major event for Queensland Government this decade. Considerable enduring, complex QPS-wide organisation and change management resulted in creation of the specialised 120-staff group to meet the forecast security planning and delivery needs.  In collaboration with key partner agencies across all levels of government. “Operation Sentinel” successfully delivered an incident-free, safe and secure Games environment, quality-assured, on time and under budget.

P2E have worked closely with the QPS to assist with the development of project and program management capability that was deemed a critical enabler for the successful delivery of the 2018 Operation Sentinel Project. P2E were also involved with program managing the successful GOLDOC Cyber Security Program for GC2018. This required extensive stakeholder management across 3 layers of government inclusive of third party deliverers. This collegiate approach was highly successful and will be leveraged for future games.

P2E are extremely proud of the officers and staff that worked tirelessly to deliver this highly successful project.
